(More customer reviews)When I received this item, part of the black coating (powder coating?) was already coming off around the area that was drilled for the lock. Upon attempting to install the fuel door, I discovered that the lock would not close onto the lock plate without significant trimming of the lock plate. So far I have turned the lock plate, which comes from the factory shaped like a 'C', into an 'L', and it looks like I will have to thin out the vertical section of the 'L' even more to get the lock to close. So much so as to worry me about whether the lock plate will hold together at all.
