(More customer reviews)We all know its coming. Gas had just hit 4 dollars when i decided to get a lock, and the price will inevitably rise, 5 dollars, 6 dollars, 10 dollars per gallon. There is only so much oil in the world. I live in the city and I have a 25 Gallon gas tank. I forsee this lock functioning 2 fold, as a deterent, and as an actual lock. 10 bucks you cant go wrong, just make sure you goto the Stant website to make sure you are getting the right size, dont depend on amazon.com to tell you if it fits or not. I give it a 4 and not a 5 because i dont like the key and I would of liked to have seen it with a lanyard.

(More customer reviews)I bought this mainly on impulse because of the price at Amazon. The item arrived with all parts intact. Step by step instructions were clear and accurate with photographs. Installation should be straight forward for most.
There is a slight noticeable improvement in torque and acceleration above the 3000 rpm range, although it could be just my imagination due to the better sounding growl. I do not hear a difference in sound below 3000 rpm. I do experience a high pitch whistle that can be heard over my radio. The whistle is not constant and occurs only during slight throttle mostly in the 2000-2500 rpm range. Others on the internet also have reported this whistle noise from a conical filter from K&N and other manufacturers on BMWs and other makes. The noise can be irritating given its high frequency. Unlike the whining sound of a supercharger, which screams more of performance, the whistle noise sounds more like there's a tea kettle under your hood. Others have chosen to live with this whistle, a few actually enjoyed it and others have chosen to go back to stock. Youll have to determine for yourself if it's worth putting up with the whistle for a few extra ponies.
Upon further investigation, the whistle is not caused by the filter itself, but by the air going through the throttle plate at around 2300 rpm. This can be confirmed by removing the cone filter. The whistle is still present and can be localized to the throttle body section. Apparently, this is an issue with the E46 regardless of maker of the CAI.

Denso 234-4099 Oxygen Sensor (Air and Fuel Ratio Sensor) Review

(More customer reviews)Primary heater circuit failed in the primary O2 sensor for a '98 Honda civic. This was an almost-perfect replacement - car now runs OK and the CEL has been reset. The only minor niggle was that although this includes the correct cabling, it doesn't include the rubber grommet that aids routing (there's a special clip / engine mount that is too large for the cable without the grommet). Fortunately I was able to cannibalize the old sensor to fit the grommet - although it had to be cut to be removed/installed so not perfect.
Anyway, the car seems happy again and the part was considerably cheaper than the official component.

(More customer reviews)This fuel strainer cost a little over $2 when I bought it. Recently the price has shot up nearly 5 fold.
These are really kind of generic items, and others remain available at much lower prices. We use them on old car restorations, cutting off the "sock" portion and fastening it around the fuel pick-up tube to keep any rust or sediment from inside the old fuel tank getting nto the fuel lines.
I suggest looking for more economical strainers that would still meet your needs.
Update May 2010: Price now at $0.85. That's more like it!
Update July 2010: Price increased to $4.65. What's going on with this part?

K&N 57-3037 Fuel Injection Performance Kit Gen2 Air Intake Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I had been reviewing K & N as well as Airaid air intakes for my H2 Hummer. I think they both make great products, but with Amazon's low price on K & N I decided to spend the extra $20.00 and get the K & N system.
Ebay was the cheapest I had found with until I came to Amazon and they had the same price and I knew who I was buying from, so I ordered it.
It installed quickly (about 90 min.) and the system runs beautifully. The sound was actually pretty mellow overall. It seems quieter on takeoff, but when you step on it you can hear it. You can also hear some noise from the passenger side after you install. Mostly some mild inhale/sucking sounds but nothing you even notice with the radio on.
So far the initial benefits are more throttle response and it looks like I am getting about 1 mpg more than before. Not a lot, but for a Hummer that is about a 10% increase :-)
I am very pleased over all. Also wanted to mention that I owned an Airaid system last year with my Ford pickup with a 4.7 Triton and it was much louder than the K & N. Quiet works better for me.
I also want to commend Amazon on the amazing service they provide with the Prime membership. I ordered this system on Thursday afternoon wanting to have it on Friday so I could toy with it on the weekend. It cost me $3.99 to have this large box sent overnight to my house and I had it on Friday.
Prime memberships are worth their weight in gold for frequent Amazon shoppers IMO.
