I just replaced all 4 TPMS sensors on my 2005 Expedition, saving over $340 compared to replacing them at the dealer. Since the battery life on the units is normally around 5-7 years, I had one fail and figured it was best to hit all 4 when I replaced the tires. Pep Boys installed them with my new tires, but had a problem activating them. Once I got the truck home I was able to activate them easily myself with instructions from the Orange Electronics website and a quick call to their support, to verify the type of magnet I needed for activation. They told me that that any medium strength magnet could be used, like a welding magnet. I used one from a magnetic parts dish. Followed the instructions and they all registered with the truck without a problem. I should have another 5-7 years without having to worry about TPMS sensors again. I highly recommend it if your vehicle is 5+ years and has TPMS sensors.
