(More customer reviews)My 2011 Silverado 2500 HD Diesel did not come with a locking gas cap. So that was the primary reason for this purchase. I could have just gotten a regular locking cap for about $30, but I decided to spend the extra money add a little more "style". I got the black one since it's a black truck and it looks awesome on there. Installation was somewhat of a pain, but that was mainly in getting the stock cap off. It was riveted on, so I had to drill out two rivets. I knew I would have to drill before I bought. All Sales says "no drilling required for most applications", so it's best to look at what you've got before you buy. If you do have to drill and are not comfortable taking a drill to your vehicle yourself, then have a professional install it for you. There is also a very limited space to work and I have big hands. None of that is the fault of this product though which is why I gave it 5 stars.
Overall the door is fairly simple to install and adjust (to get it flush with the body). It took me about an hour, including drilling out the rivets. It looks awesome on the truck and now I have a lock on there as well. I would recommend this product to anyone.
