(More customer reviews)Early in the year 2001 I bought an older version of this watch because of its simplicity, the subtle backlight, and its classic look. I am comfortable wearing it at work, as a social worker, and at all of my leisure activities. While living in America I enjoyed going to the movies at least a couple of times each week and the easily activated backlight on the dial is great for checking the time during the movie without temporarily blinding myself. I have worn it on my more than two years of climbing mountains and journeying throughout the People's Republic of China, since June of 2002. Again, the dial's backlight is convenient for checking the time in the middle of the night while outdoors or in a strange Chinese hotel room, which may or may not have a clock in it. The flat mineral crystal still looks very good despite its daily use under occasionally primitive conditions. The brushed metal casing has also kept its original appearance. It has been a reliable and attractive companion providing me with extremely accurate time until recently, when I fell down a flight of stone stairs on a mountain during a rainstorm and landed at the bottom squarely on my FreeStyle 757. I am still using it; but it has been providing less reliable time occasionally and I look forward to my next trip back to the United States to replace it with a 75702. I am a little bit disappointed by the shape of the hour hand on the new model; but that will not stop me from buying it.
