But that wasn't the only reason - also liked the fact the tubing is made of aluminum so no worries about rusting both externally and internally down the road. Also chose this kit because of the dry filter element. Hated messing with oil on the last aftermarket one I had along with the possibility of filter oil contaminating the mass airflow sensor (if over-oiled). Overall, the kit is pretty well-made and installed easily. The instructions are good in that regard. The only part about the install that was troublesome was trying to get the filter attached to the mass air sensor because it's a snug fit between the MAF and the sheet metal behind the headlight. Had to crush the filter a bit to get it on, but it didn't deform or tear. Just don't take a ham-fisted approach and it'll be fine. If there was one thing that could be changed, this kit should include a heat shield to block the hot underhood air and fan wash from entering the intake. Like similar kits on the market, don't expect huge power gains unless your engine is set up to make the most of it (heads, cam, intake manifold, exhaust, etc.).
