(More customer reviews)At the restaurant where I work, we order 35 lb containers of oil at once. Such a large size is unwieldy to use when cooking. So we transfer the oil to a 1 gallon container. Thus far, it's been a sickening balancing act, where half the oil ends up down the sink. After getting this funnel, not a drop is spilled. Just remember to hold the funnel up a bit above the lip of the smaller bottle, so that you don't end up blocking the flow of liquid.
At home, I use the funnel to transfer rice, beans, split peas, and other dried goods from large bags that I buy them in, and into used juice and wine bottles with screw tops. Saves on my buying containers from the store, and keeps the food free of bugs. And it's all possible because of the large opening on the bottom of the funnel.
