Installed this couple of days back in my 1999 Toyota Camry XLE V6. It's just a filter and this specific application is an everyday commute car so I will keep this simple.
One of the things with filters is that it's easy for a filter manufacturer to add extreme filtering capabilities. The problem is doing so while not impeding the air flow leaving the engine gasping for air that it needs for fuel combustion. Wix claims that this is the only filter with Bio-shield so I was a bit skeptical about the air flow. But after having this installed for the past 100 miles or so, it seems to be just fine. I didn't notice any drop in power. Nor did I see a significant jump either meaning the filter is doing it's intended job and letting just about the right quantity of air in.
I have not yet measured the gas mpg after the change, but I will and report it back. If it changes, I expect it to change for better.
Superb build and materials quality and was a perfect fit for my car. I had used the filter finder on the WIX website to find the right filter for my car and then purchased it here on Amazon.Update:
As mentioned earlier, just wanted to report back on the change in gas mileage. I have had this filter installed for a while now and have noticed a 10% increase in gas mileage consistently (measured over two tank fulls). This increase could be more of a reflection on how dirty the old filter was and how a new filter could possibly increase the gas mileage. Any other OEM spec filter could have possibly resulted in a similar increase. Regardless, I am happy with the quality and fitment of this Wix branded filter and will not hesitate to buy one again next year.
