(More customer reviews)I have 1983 Trans Am. I was converting the old master brake cylinder to the new LS1 master brake cylinder. Problem is most early (1982-1985) third gen firebirds and camaros have standard fittings and everything later had metric fittings.
Instead of hacking up brake line, installing a new fitting and then reflaring, simply use this adapter for the front port on the master cylinder.
Simply screw this adapter into the new LS1 master cylinder front port and your existing brake line fitting into the adapter. That's it. Done.
Front Port-
Female Inverted Flare Seat 3/16" (3/8-24 thread) to Male Bubble Flare 12-1.0MM
Rear Port-
Female Inverted Flare Seat 3/16" (3/8-24 thread) to Male Bubble Flare 11-1.5MM is part# Edelmann #264000
