After 130,000 mi my 2000 Acura Integra was flashing an ECL (code p1022 TPS position voltage low) and generally running underpowered with huge knocks from the engine at different loads that felt like a fuel cut off. The TPS sensor was at fault and Honda riveted it to the throttle body so replacing one implies both. Can't say im happy about this design but i assume it lines Honda's pockets.
Until Edelbrock released part #4790 that is. Here the Throttle Position Sensor is attached by screws. But the best of it is faster throttle response, amazing sound at full throttle, check engine light gone, and fuel economy has returned to the ~31mpg highway that I was used to long ago! (325 mi from a 10.8 gallon tank right after I installed, prior I was down to about 290 mi for that amount of fuel). And yes CARB legal 50-state and comes with a certificate, so you can show your SMOG station when they ask about that shiny new piece by the intake!
The part is a direct bolt on with the most difficult part of the install being the hoses. Three of them to be precise: two coolant and one for the air tube, with the air tube being by far the worst! Instructions are clear. Piece itself is of very nice quality and certainly on par with OEM in terms of machining and construction. Mine came with a slightly imperfect cast but not in any place that would create performance problems.
Overall: I'm very pleased that Edelbrock noticed the Acura Integra, and made a quality piece that solves more than one problem the car had in the intake stream. If i find the right deal i would love to have that turbo kit of theirs under the hood too! Very satisfied owner.
