(More customer reviews)If you have a 2003 S80, this pump may be the wrong one for you. This model is for s80s that have the fuel pump wiring going in on the driver's side. Apparently Volvo decided to start using a different pump halfway through the production year so it's a toss up as to which one you'll need.
If yours has the wiring on the passenger's side, you should ignore Amazon's "This fits your 2003 S80" which is wrong, instead get Bosch model 69742.
Learned this the hard way, hopefully this saves you some trouble. Disassemble that back seat and take a good look before you buy the wrong pump.
In summary:
69742 is for the pumps wired on the passenger side
69746 is for the pumps wired on the driver side
Fortunately Amazon was willing to accept a return, thumbs up to buying parts from Amazon.
On a related note, if you are having trouble getting the rings off, use two standard screwdrivers (big ones) in an X format flat against the bottom of the ring slots and twist them off. Easier than you'd think and saves you big bucks over buying the Volvo tool
