(More customer reviews)I've been using this stuff for 6 years now. I love it. If on the off chance I forget to add it at the fuel station, I almost immediately notice a loss of power! The 85-Plus is kinda like having octane booster but for diesels. I think the fuel savings claim comes from the fact that if you have more power, then you CAN drive with a little less throttle...but who's gona do that?! We all want more power! But be sure to get the Red Line with the cetane booster in it, like 85-Plus and RL-3 as the company makes it w/o the booster as well.
A couple of other thing I've noticed over the years with using 85-Plus is, older diesel run smother as time goes by and there is noticeable less exhaust smoke with the additive.
I know I'm going to continue to use it in my "fleet" of diesels. Oh, I use it in my and the wife's Mercedes' and my Chevy 6.5L. I really notice a difference in the smaller engines in the Mercedes. And since the advent of clean diesel at the pumps I've been using at least 2oz/10 gal. Hope this helps.
